Sea Palling Beach
Although I have been a photographer since the 1990s, landscapes and seascapes are actually a new genre of photography. It was something I had wanted to indulge in for many years. Now I no longer photograph weddings, I can invest the time to do so. I had only ever been to Sea Palling Beach once before, back in June 2018 when I photographed a bride and groom on the sand. It has taken me two years to return to the location to capture a seascape photograph.
As with all photography of this sort, there’s always an element of luck. The light was perfect this day for this shot with the sun on my back. To date, this is one of my favourite seascape images. It is simple and your eyes are drawn away down the beach into the distance. It is the first image on the front page. That photograph is in 16:9 format. I wanted to publish it here in my first blog post as I saw it when I looked through the viewfinder on my camera in the original 3:2.
